Belvedere Blast (IRE), trained by Nigel Tinkler, had arrived in the Parade Ring with undeclared cheekpieces, which were removed before going to the start.
After being interviewed, Tinkler was cautioned.
Approximately 1 ½ furlongs out, the winner, Gorytus (IRE), shifted left at the same time as Cobweb Corner (IRE), hung right causing Cobweb Corner (IRE)’s rider to have to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Gorytus (IRE).
