The winner, Benny And The Jets (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Nottingham on 11 May 2019 where the gelding finished sixth of twelve, beaten by 11 ½ lengths, on Soft ground.
Sylvester Kirk’s explanation that the gelding was better suited to the faster ground was noted.
Following the race, Sean Levey reported that Time For Bed (IRE), placed fifth, hung right under pressure and Nathan Evans reported that Socru (IRE), placed fourth, stumbled badly leaving the stalls.
