The Stewards interviewed Alan Richardson, trainer, concerning the failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Art Of Unity (GB). Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that he had confirmed availability with a seven pound claiming Qualified Rider when he learnt at a later stage that seven pound claimers were not qualified to ride under the conditions of this race. Through an agent, he secured Mr N. McParlan to ride his charge but it was then too late to nominate him by the designated time. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards reminded Alan Richardson concerning his responsibility to comply with the provisions of Rule 195(i)

Mr F. Maguire, rider of Half Nutz trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled badly and lost momentum at about half way in this race

A limited handicap for four years old and upwards rated 50-80 that, at entry, have run at least three times under any N.H Rules or Rules of Racing
