She's been a revelation for us. She's run in a nice handicap here for the past two years and I said to myself there's no group horse in it this year to beat her as last year she was beaten by Mighty Blue and the year before by Kastasa. She was in off a nice light weight today. When she can get to the front and bowl along she's very hard to peg back, especially on that good ground. It's the first time in a long time we've got good to firm ground for her. Niall gave her an absolute peach of a ride and we're delighted with her. Mark Gallagher couldn't ride her today but to be fair to him he told Niall how to ride her. She's entered for the Grade 3 Grimes Hurdle on Thursday and we'll see how she comes out of this. She was fourth in it last year and if she's okay she'll go for it again. I'm delighted for Tom Sheridan because he owns her and bred her himself. It's great for him.

The Stewards interviewed N.G. McCullagh, rider of Effernock Fizz, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence N.G. McCullagh stated that his mount was a very tough filly who set a strong gallop and nearing the finish he saw his challenger bearing down on her and went one hit over the guideline. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that N.G. McCullagh was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended N.G. McCullagh for one raceday.
An extended handicap for four years old and upwards that are EBF eligible and that at entry have run three or more times under any Rules of Racing, at least one of those runs having been over a distance of nine furlongs or more on or after 1st May, 2020 (100 = 10st)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 6lbs
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
