After race at Curragh Sun, 15th Sep, 2019 (1st)  The bubble was burst yesterday. I was expecting him to run a lot better than he did. Billy came in and said he was too fresh and too keen, didn’t get home. I said we’ll see how he is in the morning. When he fell out of the stalls and was at the back, I had my head in my hands. Then he started to pick up but I still didn’t think he’d get there. When he did get going he really flew. My confidence was gone after yesterday and I’d say people were saying he’s mad in the head (running him again). I gave him 10 days off after Galway and I’d say I nearly gave him too much time off. He needed every bit of work I could get into him. He’s a bulky sort of horse. We were going to run him over hurdles in Bellewstown but then I thought why risk him getting a knock (before this weekend). He is the sort of horse you need to be racing. Matthew J Smith

After race at Galway Sat, 3rd Aug, 2019 (1st)  It is brilliant and I'm shocked and it is dream stuff for me. He has been up and down to the yard all week and was out in the field on Wednesday, had a hack on Thursday morning, same on Friday and then today. He was really relaxed and chilled out in the parade ring and I was going to tell Billy (Lee) that I thought he was better today but was nearly afraid to say it! . Busted Tycoon did it a few years ago but that was on the flat and over hurdles and this lad is the first to do three on the flat (at the Galway Festival). Matthew J Smith

After race at Galway Thu, 1st Aug, 2019 (1st)  He is brilliant; he couldn't win for a year and then wins twice in the week, winning at a mile and back up to 1m4f,. I knew he would be well up to running again as he ran one day after another last year and was placed on both runs and he could run again on Sunday, but unless Billy (Lee) can ride him over hurdles! . He's the sort of horse who thrives on racing and I'll have a chat to Ollie (Ryan, owner) and make a decision about Sunday. Matthew J Smith

After race at Galway Tue, 30th Jul, 2019 (1st)  I even got there too soon!. I just got out of a pocket down in the dip and I gave him a squeeze and he has leapt on the bridle and I got there and I got there and I just tried to bide my time before 'go'. In fairness when he stuck his head in front he was just doing enough. He's a clever old boy, but thank God he won. At long last! In the last year he has been second or third nine or ten times but today was the day to do it. Over one mile four furlongs he is travelling too well and tends to stop in front when the other horses aren't carrying him. He travelled incredibly well again today and Bill (Lee) said he has some gears. It was a little bit of an unknown running him over a mile and half a furlong today but it worked out well and had no problem today. He has a couple of entries later in the week and will run again. I'm delighted for Ollie Ryan, from Tullamore, who is the main man in the syndicate and has been very good to me in the last couple of years. Matthew J Smith
