it was a good weight carrying performance and a lovely ride by Sean - the 5lb probably made the difference in the end. He's a fierce genuine horse. It was only his second run of the year so he was good and fresh coming here. The lads have been very patient. It's been the plan to come here as he likes an ease in the ground. We might mix it with him.

F.M. Berry, rider of Dancing Noretta trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount didn't act on the track. The Stewards requested a report from M.Halford, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Ebadani, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that this horse had a setback over the winter and disappointed on his seasonal debut in Tipperary in June. He felt the horse had progressed in his homework since then. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the contents of the report.
