The Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Ancient Spirit (GER), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards accepted S. Foley's explanation that one of the strikes was a corrective measure and they thus took no further action
