The Stewards reviewed separate incidents in the closing stages. The first incident involving Atomic Jones (FR), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed first, Chicago Soldier, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed fourth and Men On The Hill, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed sixth where it appeared that Men On The Hill was tight for room when challenging between horses racing wide on the outside. Also a second incident involving Point Gellibrand, ridden by S.M

Crosse, placed second and Lucky San Jore (GB) ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, where it appeared both horses may have made contact when Point Gellibrand made his challenge one off the running rail. Having reviewed the recording of that part of the race and considered the matters, the Stewards were satisfied that no action was warranted.
