he is out of a Galileo mare and isn't very big so it was an easy choice to go three-year-old hurdling. He was small and doesn't look like an Enda Bolger-horse so maybe nobody wanted him! I wouldn't be throwing 12st7lb on him or anything but there is an engine there, which is the main thing. it was no harm that he met some trouble in running as it will make a man of him and he is a great little leaper. He was still green, he pulled hard early on, but is learning his job all the time. Let's hope it is onwards and upwards with him. We'll keep educating him away and follow around in a three-year-old winners' of one. He must be Flemensfirth's first three-year-old winner too. E Bolger, trainer

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight involving Kaleosun (FR), ridden by J.W

Kennedy, placed fourth, and Right Now, ridden by J.J. Slevin, placed sixth, where it appeared Right Now hit a spur. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence J.W. Kennedy stated that his mount jumped the hurdle slightly left, he came back in to maintain his racing line and that no contact was made between the riders and their mounts. J. J. Slevin stated that his mount got a good jump and landed on the inside of Kaleosun(FR) but he ran out of racing room and hit a spur. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no futher action was warranted.
