Permission was given for Watch My Tracer (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start.
Leaving the stalls, Watch My Tracer (IRE), placed third, jumped right-handed at the same time as Batal Zabeel (IRE), placed second, jumped slightly left-handed briefly inconveniencing Nazalan (IRE), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of either Watch My Tracer (IRE) or Batal Zabeel (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching and passing the 1-furlong marker when Watch My Tracer (IRE), placed third, ridden by Callum Shepherd, interfered with Nazalan (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Robert Havlin.
Shepherd was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to hang right-handed without sufficient or timely correction intimidating Nazalan (IRE) off its intended line.
