An enquiry was held to consider interference exiting the back straight involving Glorious Charmer (GB), placed third, ridden by Aidan Keeley; Rhubarb (GB), unplaced, ridden by Taylor Fisher and Lion Ring (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Owen Lewis.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Lewis was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
The interference was found to be accidental as although there was racing room for Lion Ring (IRE) on the rail, it shied away from the two runners on its outside resulting in it brushing the running rail and becoming unbalanced for a few strides.
On the run to the line Coast (GB), placed second, edged right-handed briefly slightly giving a slight brush to the winner, Mr Trick (IRE), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Owen Lewis reported that Lion Ring (IRE), unplaced, became unbalanced after making contact with the running rail, exiting the back straight.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
