Permission was given for Lilkian (GB) to be mounted on the course and for Hit Mac (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
The winner, Shalaa Asker (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Southwell on 23rd February 2023, where the gelding finished seventh of 11 runners beaten 7 ¾ lengths.
Adrian Keatley had no explanation for the improvement in form other than Shalaa Asker (GB), may have been unsuited by a wide draw on his last start at Southwell.
His explanation was noted and Shalaa Asker (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Mr Nathan Seery reported that El Hombre (GB) was slow away and slow into stride.
