Permission was given for Angel Bleu (FR) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring.
Shortly after the start, Mr Mccann (IRE), placed fifth, edged right as Cachet (IRE), placed third, drifted slightly left resulting in Cachet (IRE) clipping the heels of Mr Mccann (IRE), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved, and that it had not improved the placing of Cachet (IRE).
Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that Nurseclaire (FR), placed sixth, ran green and hung left-handed in the final furlong.
