The performance of Subjectivist (GB), which started favourite and finished sixth, beaten by 8¼ lengths, was considered.
Mark Johnston’s explanation that the colt was the lowest rated horse of those with official handicap ratings, and had not shown the necessary improvement required in order to be competitive was noted.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Subjectivist (GB), during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Jim Crowley reported that Buhturi (IRE), placed fifth, ran too freely.
