Permission was given for Marsh Benham (IRE) to wear a red hood to post; Zambezi Magic (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post.
Approaching 1 ½ furlongs out, the winner, Marsh Benham (IRE), shifted left-handed causing Vitalline (GB), unplaced, to become momentarily short of room and as a result gave a bump to Thewaytothestars (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Marsh Benham (IRE).
The unruly behaviour of Melody Cher (GB), unplaced, which was reluctant to race and slowly away, losing many lengths, was considered.
As the filly had also been reluctant to race at Yarmouth on 16 October 2023, the representative of John Butler was informed that any future similar behaviour from Melody Cher (GB) may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Darragh Keenan reported that Melody Cher (GB), unplaced, was slowly away losing many lengths and Paddy Bradley reported that Roundabout Silver (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed in the home straight.
