Permission was given for Queen Daenerys (IRE) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring.
James Doyle, the rider of Dubai Paradise (IRE), which finished eighth, beaten by 18 lengths, had appeared to ease his horse prematurely.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Doyle explained that the filly did not give him the same feel as she had done on her previous run.
He added that having asked his mount for an effort approximately three furlongs out he felt Dubai Paradise (IRE) had no more to give inside the final furlong, a fact which he reported at Scale.
He further explained that as the filly had felt so different from her debut run, he had been concerned for her welfare and therefore felt it prudent to ease down.
His explanation was noted.
Subsequently, the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Dubai Paradise (IRE), failed to reveal any abnormalities.
