Permission was given for Vibrant Chords (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring and go early to post, and for Jumira Bridge (GB) and Only Spoofing (IRE) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider why Robert Cowell was running Jumira Bridge (GB) here at Ascot on going described as Good to Firm, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Ascot on 13 July 2019 on ground with the same official description.
The trainer’s representative explained that JUMRIA BRIDGE had been recovering from a corn prior to it’s proposed run at Ascot, and they had not wished to run Jumira Bridge (GB) on quick ground with a foot problem.
He added that now the gelding had made a full recovery, they were happy for Jumira Bridge (GB) to take its chance today.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Encore d'Or (GB), unplaced, and Dapper Man (IRE), unplaced, had both lost their left-fore shoes.
Nicola Currie reported that Harome (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling.
