An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start, involving Maysong (GB), placed second, ridden by Tommie Jakes, Arctician (IRE), placed third, ridden by Alec Voikhansky, Silastar (GB), unplaced, ridden by Anna Gibson, Vellner (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Jordan Williams and Local Bay (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jack Doughty.
Being a 7lb claimer, Doughty was accompanied by a senior jockey.
Voikhansky was interviewed but found not to be involved in the incident.
Jakes was suspended for seven days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed towards the rail, carrying Vellner (IRE) off its line, which left insufficient room on the inside causing Silastar (GB) and Local Bay (GB) to become severely unbalanced for a sustained period and eventually resulting in Local Bay (GB) being tightened for racing room on the rail and losing its racing position.
An enquiry was held to consider interference in the straight, involving Arctician (IRE), placed third, ridden by Alec Voikhansky and Stately Home (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Liam Wright.
Voikhansky was suspended for two days for careless riding as he had allowed his horse to drift left-handed, without sufficient correction which took Stately Home (IRE) off its intended line causing Wright to take a check and switch around Arctician (IRE) to continue his run.
Following the race, Alec Voikhansky reported that Arctician (IRE), placed third, hung left-handed.
