I didn't think she'd see it out. I thought a mile might stretch her. She broke well and he gave her a good old spin. I had no-one to ride at a quarter to twelve yesterday and he rung up so it was worth the phone call for him. I thought she was in good form and would take a bit of beating. The Stewards enquired into an incident in the final 100 yards involving Serefeli, ridden by S.B. Kelly, placed fifth, Specific Gravity (FR), ridden by D.W. O'Connor, placed fourth and Double Fast, ridden by R.D. Dolan, unplaced, where it appeared Double Fast and Specific Gravity suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion S.B. Kelly was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having taken his record into account, they suspended him for 1 raceday. R. Coakley, rider of Rose Angel trained by Peter Casey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount broke away slowly from stalls.

An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards rated 45-65
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra for each race won.
Riders - Confined to riders who have not ridden more than 10 winners under any National Hunt Rules or Rules of Racing between 20th March, 2016 and 21st August, 2016.
