John Quinn had obtained prior permission from the BHA to run Miss Nay Never (IRE) partially shod.
Permission was given for Brazen Belle (GB) to go early to post.
On leaving the stalls, Miss Nay Never (IRE), placed third, jumped right-handed carrying Orchid Rose (IRE), unplaced, onto Bronte Girl (IRE), unplaced, which in turn was carried onto the quarters of the winner Risk Of Thunder (IRE), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Miss Nay Never (IRE).
