he’s a lovely horse belonging to two great owners of ours (Addergoole More Partnership). He was right down in the weights and he did it well. The ground turned right for him because he loves yielding ground. He jumped like a stag and Gavin gave him a great spin. You can’t beat a lad who’ll do what he’s told - he went wide so as not to be on the chopped-up ground. He’ll go for something similar in a fortnight’s time.
Norman Lee, trainer
The Stewards requested a report from Norman Lee, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Oskar High, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Norman Lee stated that his charge has not run in three months and appreciated the yielding ground today and his horses also seem to have returned to form recently. The Acting Stewards, according to the provisions of Rule 29, appointed Mr. J. Tempany M.R.C.V.S. to act as substitute Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer at this meeting
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards (109 = 11st 12lbs)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 11st 12lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won.
Riders - Confined to Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules who have not lost the right to claim the allowance under Rule 52 (iii). Allowances - (which are not cumulative, up to and including 13th August) Riders who have not ridden the winners of 25 *races allowed..........4lb Those who have not ridden the winners of 40 *races allowed..........2lb No allowance under Rule 52 (iii) may be claimed *Including races under any N.H.
