The Stewards wished to interview W.J. Lee, rider of Nitro Boost, concerning his frequent use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. W. J. Lee confirmed to the stewards that he had three previous breaches of Regulation 10 since the new whip rules came into effect. Having considered the riders acceptance of his disciplinary record in relation to Regulation 10, the stewards referred the matter to the referrals committee for consideration under Regulation 10.6

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hathiq, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal

The Stewards requested a report from W. McCreery, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Nitro Boost, placed first, as compared with its recent form. W. McCreery stated that the drop back to five furlongs and the advantageous stand side draw both contributed to the improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report

W. McCreery, trainer of Nitro Boost, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge pulled a right fore shoe during the race
