Just inside the 2-furlong marker, Wings Of A Dove (IRE), unplaced, lugged right-handed at the same time as the winner, Show Me A Sunset (GB), edged marginally left-handed causing the pair to make contact.
This resulted in Wings Of A Dove (IRE) becoming unbalanced and shifting quickly left-handed causing Ubahha (GB), placed fifth, to be checked in its run and make heavy contact with the hind quarters of Howzak (GB), placed eighth, which lost its back end as a result.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved, and it had not improved the placing of Show Me A Sunset (GB).
Following the race, Cam Hardie reported that Ubahha (GB) was denied a clear run approaching and passing 1½ furlongs out.
