The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr E.P. O'Brien, rider of Grainne A Chroi, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied Mr. E.P. O'Brien was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record (first offence), they suspended him for three racedays
Mr E.P. O'Brien, rider of Grainne A Chroi, trained by Miss M.Harding, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount drifted right in the closing stages
Miss J. Townend, rider of Lady Gooner, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount stopped very quickly
Mr B. O'Neill, rider of Pointe A Pitre (FR), trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly
