McNally, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have lost a left fore shoe but was otherwise post race normal

G. Brouder, rider of Forza Milan, trained by J.A. Nash, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up lame

A.P. Kelly, rider of The Jam Man, trained by Ronan M.P. McNally, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up

S. O'Callaghan, rider of Welsh Saint (FR), trained by C.A.McBratney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went lame in running and was pulled up

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C. McGivern, rider of Punitive, concerning his use of the whip during this race following a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, Mr. A. Tyrell MRCVS, that he noted that the animal was marked post race. Photographic evidence was presented at this enquiry and verbal evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that C. McGivern was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards cautioned C

McGivern on this occasion.
