Belle Noverre started this season as she ended the last when claiming a second career victory at the same venue at which she got her first last November. Jim Bolger's charge was settled in behind the leading group and produced with a run early in the straight where she led inside the final furlong and stuck her head out gamely to deny Newparks Doughter and Ginger Princess.

The winner was all out to deny the closing pair and having won over a mile here last time she used every bit of her staying qualities to score.

Another who ran a similar race just to go down by three parts of a length was Newparks Doughter who had led under Rory Cleary but met one better on this occasion and a return to six on this surface may reap rewards.

Ginger Princess just failed to make it two on the bounce for Oliver McKiernan and the six-year-old was forced to come wide under Johnny Fahy and appeared to be having a slight look at the stands on her way up the straight. There should be another win in her before long.

Fancy Feathers came from a long way back on her seasonal debut and she should strip better for the run next time around. Pussyfooting just didn't quicken at the business end while Dand Nee never really got involved after being slowly into stride.
