A good training performance here with MUNSTERS CALL overcoming a near 12 months lay-off to score in fine style. He could be called the winner from the home turn as Billy Lee stood motionless in the saddle with apparently plenty of horse under him, and settled the issue quickly when sent on at the furlong pole.

ASK JENNY was bidding for a hat-trick after two victories over the minimum trip at Kempton earlier this year and, while she would not have beaten the winner, Fran Berry was denied a clear run on the inner until a furlong out. She came home well after getting some daylight, having had only a couple behind her entering the straight.

FUNATFANTASIA also raced on the far rail but his chance ended when checked at the furlong pole when poised to challenge. To his credit he kept on well for third spot, and is certainly very competitive in this grade.

MARINEBIRD was prominent throughout but could find no extra from over a furlong out, and is best suited by the minimum trip. DOOROCK was another that didn't enjoy the clearest of passages but kept on well down the centre of the track, and should benefit from this first outing of the season.

THE MIDDLE PIECE showed pace until dropping away from over a furlong out, while the front-running TASHADELEK was starting to weaken when badly hampered in the bunching on the inner over a furlong out. She is better than her finishing position would suggest, and should continue to be a good money spinner for connections at around seven furlongs.
