The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Parvos, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed fourth and Annie G, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed third, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. J. O'Keeffe stated that he could see that Ms
Blackmore's horse was hanging out but he had no option but go around her and he did not feel it had cost him anything. Rachael Blackmore stated that her mount had been very keen throughout and then hung badly in the closing stages. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while interference did occur, no horse improved its finishing position as a result of the interference and so they made no alteration to the judges placings. Furthermore, they felt the interference was caused accidentally and they took no further action.
