The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Chatterbox, ridden by Ms L.B
Mellerick, unplaced, Summer Fly (FR), ridden by Amy Jo Hayes, placed fourth, and White Strand, ridden by Miss L. Costello, unplaced, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Ms. L.B. Mellerick stated that she was having her first ride on the Racecourse and had misjudged the situation and apologised for causing the incident. Amy Jo Hayes stated that she suffered minor interference from her outside. Miss L. Costello stated that she suffered interference from her inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Ms. L.B. Mellerick was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding) and having considered her clean record they cautioned her on this occasion

An extended handicap for four years old and upwards (75 = 11st 7lbs)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
Riders - Lady Riders only: 1. Who hold an Apprentice Licence under Rules of Racing. 2. Who hold an Apprentice Licence under Rules of Racing issued by any recognised Turf Authority. 3.
