After race at Navan Wed, 10th Jun, 2020 (1st)
I had him entered for the Lincoln and I thought he was good enough to run a respectable race there. So if I thought that I thought he should win today. He had a break because of Covid-19 but he came back in as fresh as a daisy and we've been very happy with him. Conor is back riding out and knows the horse inside out. I thought he hit the front a little bit soon but the horse just took him there as he was full of running. He toughed it out at the end. Jim Bolger and Kevin Manning got me last year at the Curragh, on the line, and I thought they were going to do the same again today (with short-head runner-up Ambitious Approach). Thank-god he toughed it out. It's a serious way to start the season and we badly needed it. The horses seem to all be in very good form and hopefully the bit of a break did us all the world of good.

We were very unlucky in a handicap last year at the Curragh,.

He did it well, he's still very green and immature,. On his first run he missed the break. Oisin said that it took him a long time to get him pulled up there. He was only getting going and when he hit top gear he did it well. I was very happy with him. He was a cheap horse that I bought for the Shahs and it's great. I knew he had improved and the horses are in good form so hopefully we can keep them at it. We'll see what mark he gets now. I don't think I've had a horse as good as him at this early stage before. The lads love him at home and we'll have to see where we go now. He's a nice horse and we'll look after him. I could even step him back to seven as although it looks like he was staying on, when the penny really drops with him he has plenty of speed.
