he has never run a bad race up here and this is the only track where he gets a mile. He has been a really good servant who works miles better than he runs at the track but he's even a joy to have around the place. We are less than 10 minutes down the road and, in every aspect, we like coming up here. If they run badly you don't have too long to wallow in the journey home!

He’s been in brilliant form for a good while now. The last day in Sligo was a mess as there was no stalls and Chris (Hayes) was ready to jump twice but they didn’t let them go and then third time he missed the break. It was a complete non-entity. This was the first time he’s got fast ground outside Dundalk since we’ve had him. We’d have been disappointed if he didn’t run well as he’s been working well. They are all in to be claimed (three runners). Approach The City cost two grand so if someone gives fifteen, let them on. If not he’ll go jumping after that.

we'd seen plenty of him in Denis Hogan's so we had a bit of inside info when we claimed him (from the Premier Racing Club). There were plenty of claims in for him so he wasn't going back to Denis' anyway so we threw a claim in. We're delighted with him. we have a vibrating floor in the yard now. Jim (Gough) spent €20,000 putting it in and it's made a huge difference to any of the horses with a few issues. I'd say that's had more to do with where he's at now than me. It's definitely helped with soundness and I'm delighted with him.

he's won snug enough. He's a tough old horse, he loves the ground and the trip seems to be okay. He's a nice horse and he's done it well at the line. I've watched his videos and I saw him doing it well here earlier in the year. I asked Kevin (Manning) about him. He liked him and said he's a grand horse that hits the line well the whole time but he just wondered would this trip be a bit sharp but he's done it well.

The horses seem to have turned a corner and have started running well again. We got him from England for the Kildare Racing Club about two months ago and he goes on that ground. He’ll tip away in those races and you could see him back out again shortly. He’s a shouldery horse but he goes on that ground.
