The Stewards interviewed D.F. O'Regan, rider of Ticket To Ride (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, including the report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, the Stewards were of the opinion that D.F. O'Regan was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (f) in that he had used his whip with excessive force and Regulation 10.4 in that he failed to give his mount time to respond. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended D.F. O' Regan for 3 racedays.
