Permission was given for Motawaazy (GB) to go early to post.

An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs out involving Hurstwood (GB), placed third, ridden by Mark Winn and Havana Pursuit (GB), unplaced, ridden by David Allan.

Winn was cautioned for careless riding as he had switched his mount left-handed when insufficiently clear of Havana Pursuit (GB), causing Allan to take a slight check and be moved off his intended line.

An enquiry was held to consider approximately ½ furlongs out involving the winner, Fortamour (IRE) ridden by Joanna Mason and Oso Rapido, placed fifth, ridden by Tom Marquand.

Mason was cautioned for careless riding as she allowed her mount to drift right-handed, without sufficient correction, causing Marquand to take a slight check off heels.

An enquiry was held to consider the placings following an Object (GB)ion from Daniel Tudhope, the rider of Strong Johnson (IRE), placed second, to the winner, Fortamour (IRE) ridden by Joanna Mason, on the grounds of interference suffered in the concluding stages of the race.

The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Fortamour's (IRE) placing as Strong Johnson (IRE) had lost no momentum as a result when carried right-handed inside the final half a furlong with Tudhope never having to stop riding, to be beaten an extending ½ length margin at the line.

Mason was cautioned for careless riding for allowing her mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction carrying Strong Johnson (IRE) off its intended line approaching the winning post.

The performance of Starproof (IRE), unplaced, was considered.

Chris Grassick could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance; The Veterinary Officer examined the filly post-race and had nothing to report.

Following the race, Connor Beasley reported that Motawaazy (GB), unplaced, was denied a run on several occasions from two furlongs out.
