The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Mrs John Harrington, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Maud Gonne Spirit, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Niall Amond, Authorised Representative for the trainer, reported that a step up in trip and more favourable ground conditions may have helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its content
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fleetfoot, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
