Permission was given for Suanni (GB) to wear a red hood to post and for Spanish Angel (IRE) to go early to post and mounted on the chute.
Leaving the stalls, the winner, Kim Wexler (IRE), jumped left-handed hampering Suanni (GB), unplaced, and causing the gelding to lose its early position, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Kim Wexler (IRE).
Following the race, Daniel Muscutt reported that the winner, Kim Wexler (IRE), jumped left-handed from the stalls.
