Permission was given for Carmarthen (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Having reviewed the start, the Stewards were satisfied that Manali (IRE) was mounted as the start was effected, before rearing and unseating the rider in the stalls and was deemed to be a runner.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Manali (IRE) which had reared after the start was effected, unseating the rider in the stalls and galloping loose.
John Butler was interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
As the filly had also reared over at the start and been withdrawn at Nottingham on 11 May 2024, Butler was informed that any future similar behaviour from Manali (IRE) may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Kieran O’Neill reported that Battleofbaltimore (GB), unplaced, jumped left-handed leaving the stalls.
