She did what I was hoping she would do. She has loads of gears and loves the ground. We’ll probably look for something similar in a couple of weeks because she isn’t going to handle summer ground. Chris gave her a lovely ride and got a lead off Ken Condon’s horse. She’s had her little issues and we’ve just taken our time. She’s very honest and I was delighted to see all the rain. C.D. Hayes, rider of Magical Vision, trained by Aidan Anthony Howard, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled around in the closing stages of this race

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident close to the finish involving Mickey The Steel (GB), ridden by S.P. Bird, placed second, Magical Vision, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed first, and Sounds Of Spring, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third, where it appeared that the horses came very close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, W.J. Lee stated that his mount went left for the whip but straightened up when he took a fresh hold. S.P. Bird stated that had drifted from his use of the whip but straightened up when corrected

C.D. Hayes stated that his mount had leaned into Sounds Of Spring and he corrected her but in his opinion the very testing conditions contributed to the incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action. Mr T. Breen, Raceday Steward recused himself from this enquiry.
