The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Nyla Rua, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth, and Von Krolock, ridden by O. McSweeney, placed fifth, where it appeared that Von Krolock made contact with Nyla Rua. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, C.T. Keane stated that both Nyla Rua and Von Krolock had raced upsides from the turn in and felt that he had kept straight. O. McSweeney stated that his mount was wearing blinkers had leaned both left and right in the straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. D. Maher, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that O. McSweeney, rider of Von Krolock, weighed in at 1.1 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that O. McSweeney was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion.
