Permission was given for Come On You Spurs (GB) to be led early to post and for Gladly Ever After (IRE), Shuangxi (IRE) and Miss Anya (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
The winner, ZIGGY’S DREAM (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Chester on 16 September 2023, where the filly finished seventh of eight, beaten by 12 lengths.
It was noted that Alice Haynes could offer no explanation for the improved form.
ZIGGY’S DREAM (IRE) was routine tested.
Shortly after leaving the stalls, a free running Miss Anya (IRE), placed fourth, hung quickly left briefly tightening Showmethewayhome (IRE), unplaced, for room but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved, and that it had not improved the placing of Miss Anya (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 3 furlongs out involving Miss Anya (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Finley Marsh and Showmethewayhome (IRE), unplaced, ridden by David Probert.
Marsh was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left briefly tightening Probert for room.
Following the race, Taylor Fisher reported that Gladly Ever After (IRE), placed third, hung right- handed in the home straight.
Harry Davies reported that Come On You Spurs (GB), unplaced, hung badly right-handed off the home bend.
David Probert reported that Showmethewayhome (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference approaching 3 furlongs out and Frederick Larson reported that Via Blanca (GB), unplaced, was upset in the preliminaries and in the stalls.
