THE BOSSES NEPHEW was the one punters wanted to know about most and when his market rival AKA JAKE (a drifter from 3s out to 9/2) unseated rider at the second, his task was made that much easier.

A seven-year-old with a point-to-point and a maiden hurdle success under his belt, the experienced Flemensfirth gelding jumped well and asserted under pressure on the run-in to see off SIZING AMERICA. John Brassil said of THE BOSSES NEPHEW, who carries the familiar and oft successful Edward Farrell silks, "he is a great jumper and I'll make an entry for him for a two mile half mile handicap at Aintree and he'll go to Punchestown then."

SIZING AMERICA made a bad mistake at Limerick on his chase debut last time. He wasn't as good as The Bosses Nephew over his fences and that cost him victory in this. However he is going the right way.

There were only seven finishers and the rest were well beaten. DRUIM DAIRE made a noise in running according to his trainer, Margaret Flynn. TWOSTRONGMEN missed his engagement due to a stone bruise.
