The first fence in the back straight was omitted for safety reasons and the second fence in the back straight was changed from a regulation to a plain fence.
Ruby Walsh was seen at his best on CANDY GIRL here and not many people would have won on the mare. The 121 rated hurdler had made an iffy start to chasing but Walsh steered her to success, producing her with a well timed challenge for an all out win.
Trainer Willie Mullins was represented by his wife Jackie who reported "Ruby was very good there. At one stage today a win looked unlikely but we had a cool jockey and the mare was tough too. CANDY GIRL may go to Fairyhouse and Punchestown next and its great to get Blacktype for her pedigree."
CALLHERWHATYOULIKE has been placed in Grade 1 company and ran another good race here. She is a capable mare and can win plenty more races.
ITS A LADYS DEAL defeated CANDY GIRL last time out, and although not helped by a peck on landing two out, was no match for the firts two finishers today. However, she ran a sound race and will win more races.
NEIGHBOURS WAGER was a course winner last December but wasn't good enough in this grade while STRYLEA made the running but was headed before the straight an took a tired fall at the final fence.
Sheebadiva (throat infection) was a non-runner.
