The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference 150 yards from the winning post involving I'm Spartacus, ridden by Adam Caffrey, placed third, and Realtin Fantasy, ridden by M.W Hassett, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Adam Caffrey stated that he had to take a check in the closing stages and felt this had cost him a better finishing position. He also confirmed that contact was not made between both horses. M.W Hassett stated that his mount drifted left despite his best efforts and although it caused minor interference, no contact was made and he felt he would have finished second more comfortably but for going slightly left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Realtin Fantasy had caused interference to I'm Spartacus it had not improved his finishing position as a result of this interference, so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that M.W Hassett had taken reasonable steps to avoid causing interference and were satisfied that no further action was warranted

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Florence Thompson, trained by J.G. Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount lost her action early on

M.W Hassett, rider of Realtin Fantasy, trained by W.P.Browne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around with the cheek pieces

Adam Caffrey, rider of I'm Spartacus, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a check inside the furlong pole

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Florence Thompson, trained by J.G. Murray, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame in front post race.

An extended handicap for three years old and upwards (75 = 10st)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
