They are three nice fillies and it's a shame they were all clashing but the prize-money was good. They are all suited by the surface and the distance, and the horses are in good form. Kadra needs pace and it was a bit too soft for her at Roscommon the last time. She could come back here for the (Listed) Cooley Stakes (October 28).
M Halford, trainer
The Stewards requested a report from M.Halford, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Kadra, placed first, as compared with its recent run. The trainer reported that he couldn't explain the disappointing run last time but that the rider had reported that the filly had run flat. Nothing had subsequently shown up but he had given the filly a short break and she had returned to form today. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the contents of the report.
