The performance of Golden Viola (GB), which finished unplaced, beaten by 30¼ lengths, was considered.
The representative of S P C Woods reported that the filly was unsuited by the slow early pace, before being caught flat footed when the tempo of the race quickened in the straight.
Their explanation was noted; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Golden Viola (GB) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Louis Steward reported that Opening Scene (GB), unplaced, broncked for some distance after leaving the stalls and lost a considerable amount of ground in the early stages.
