Permission was given for Keen Interest (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings between the third and fourth placed horses in this race after interference inside the final furlong, involving Keen Interest (IRE), placed third, ridden by Kieran O’Neill and Romanovich (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by William Carson.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Keen Interest (IRE) as when the interference occurred, Keen Interest (IRE) appeared to be gaining the upper hand on Romanovich (IRE), who although receiving a bump and been moved off its racing line, appeared to lose little momentum, with Carson never having to pause in his riding of the gelding.
Further to this from the ½ furlong marker to the line, Keen Interest (IRE) always appeared to be holding Romanovich (IRE) to place third by half a length.
The interference was found to be accidental as Keen Interest (IRE) stepped right-handed before being corrected, giving a slight bump to Romanovich (IRE).
Following the race, Kieran O'Neill reported that Keen Interest (IRE), placed third, hung right-handed.
