Permission was given for Delface (FR) to be mounted on course.
The winner, Templier (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Taunton on 5 November 2019 where the gelding finished fifth of seven runners, beaten by 28 lengths.
Katie Stephen’s explanation that gelding had benefited from the application of a first time tongue strap and appreciated the drop in grade was noted.
Templier (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Tom Bellamy reported that Petrucci (IRE), which was pulled up, jumped poorly, Robin Dickin reported that Clondaw Sam (GB), which was pulled up, had a breathing problem, the Veterinary Officer reported that Lots Of Luck (IRE), placed third, lost his right-hind shoe, the Veterinary Officer also reported that Pulp Fiction (IRE), placed fourth, had bled from the nose.
