The record of vaccinations in the passport of VALENTINE’S TURF (FR) did not comply with the Rules of Racing.
Christian Williams was fined £280 as this was his second offence within the previous 12 months.
Nick Scholfield, the rider of VALENTINE’S TURF (FR) had jumped the inspection hurdle prior to the start.
After being interviewed and viewing a recording of the incident, Scholfield’s explanation that the horse had ran freely to post and he was unable to prevent it from jumping the hurdle was accepted.
The performance of The Wire Flyer (GB) which finished unplaced, was considered.
John Flint could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance, other than Paddy Brennan had reported that The Wire Flyer (GB) was never travelling.
