Permission was given for Filthy Lucca (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line involving Montenay (GB), placed second, ridden by Brian Hughes and the winner Translink (GB), ridden by Sam Twiston- Davies.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Translink (GB)’s placing as there were two pieces of interference, the first of which knocked Montenay (GB) off-balance when continuing with her run approximately ½ furlong out; followed by continued pressure on the run to the line, when the mare was gaining all the time.
The placings were revised as follows: First, Montenay (GB), Second, Translink (GB).
The incident approximately ½ furlong out was found to be accidental as Translink (GB) had ducked sharply left- handed, however, in regards to the second incident, on the run to the line, Twiston-Davies was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his horse to drift left-handed without sufficient correction.
