Permission was given for Gidwa (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
The Raceday privilege request in relation to Between The Sheets (IRE), trained by Michael Bell, was late being submitted.
Bell was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all Raceday privilege requests are submitted before 1pm on the day before racing.
Upon leaving the stalls, Sagittarius (GB), placed second, jumped right-handed at the same time that Tinkerstar (IRE), unplaced, jumped left-handed, tightening up Between The Sheets (IRE), placed sixth, and Gidwa (IRE), placed eighth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sagittarius (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving Tinkerstar (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Callum Hutchinson; Between The Sheets (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by William Buick and Gidwa (IRE), placed eighth, ridden by Dane O’Neill.
The interference was found to be accidental in that as Between The Sheets (IRE) commenced its run on the outside of Tinkerstar (IRE), the latter shifted slightly right-handed, causing Buick’s mount to move further than intended and make contact with the hind quarters of Gidwa (IRE).
