Permission was given for Ballintoy Harbour (IRE) to go early to post.
Approaching the 2 furlong marker, Ballintoy Harbour (IRE), unplaced, lugged left-handed carrying Equitation (GB), placed fifth, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching the final furlong, Paul Mulrennan, the rider of a weakening Ballintoy Harbour (IRE), unplaced, took a precautionary check in anticipation of suffering interference from both sides, which subsequently failed to materialise.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final half furlong involving Hey Mr (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Ray Dawson and Equitation (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Marco Ghiani.
Dawson was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction brushing with Equitation (GB), which was slightly impeded as a result.
Following the race, Ray Dawson reported that Hey Mr (GB), placed fourth, hung right-handed throughout.
